We are almost there

Companies that will moves us forward, save or potentially harm us, will know our thoughts, will have the ability to link and cross-link our memories and more importantly, will understand when, why and how to Recall them in a visual representation from which we will have the ability to drive insightful actions or have the software drive the action on our behalf.

As such case, I have selected companies in the PKM (Personal Knowledge Management) segment.

Personal knowledge management (PKM) is a process of collecting information that a person uses to gather, classify, store, search, retrieve and share knowledge in their daily activities (Grundspenkis 2007) and the way in which these processes support work activities.

You may also think of PKM as a MindMap or Project Management software on Steroid except that the addition of Recall and Cross-Linking of an element of your knowledge can exist across several dimensions across your entire knowledge base.

The most successful one will have invested time and resources to develop Audio recording, translation and transcription from which helps derive actionable insights. Let’s take a real world scenario for which Company A has several meetings with a key focus on the reduction of Cancel Sales. Notetakers rarely capture the essence of a meeting especially those tidbits that holds the background behind the goals or tasks.

The next phase for PKM softwares for which currently enhance our ability to Visualize, Connect and Recall will harness transcription as LiveLinks that provide Insights but also establish the Context of our thoughts LifeCycle.

We can now move from the Recall aspect of PKM and expand upon the essence of the knowledge acquired, for which LiveLinks take on a mission of their own. I might still use all those transcriptions (LiveLinks) and assign them into new categories, goals or tasks or use them as Executive Summary for our next meeting to ensure the viability of our goals. One could also use any reference based on LiveKeywords to further zoom in on Cancels and Goals that live in such LiveLinks.

At present time I believe that Scrintal and Notion stands ready for disruption. I will talk in more depth about Scrintal in the future but for now, learn about them and I believe that you will agree with my assessment.

In addition companies that provide language learning software present themselves as the next segment with the clearest opportunity to disrupt Technology as we know it. Especially, those that have “Visuals” included in their offering, think FlashCards. Drops and Lirica are two of my favorites. LLMA started as a viable way to train AI but…
